BGI Lodge’s season runs from mid-March through November and hosts hunters, fishermen and photographers through three seasons with shed hunting in the spring, fishing in the summer and bird hunting beginning in early-fall. The area is home to an impressive variety of birds and wildlife, making it a great location for enthusiastic nature photographers and birdwatchers throughout Saskatchewan’s warmer months.
Conveniently situated between two international airports – approximately 115 km south of Saskatoon’s John G. Diefenbaker International Airport and 225 km northwest of Regina International Airport – BGI Lodge is centered around Saskatchewan’s open fields, rolling prairies and grassy parkland and ideally located for an authentic wildlife experience.
The lodge has five prairie animal-themed guest rooms and can comfortably sleep 10 guests, based on double occupancy. Cooking and dining facilities are located onsite with meals homemade by a local caterer, serving up hearty Saskatchewan-inspired dishes.
Evenings can be spent admiring the impressive display of taxidermy throughout the lodge while relaxing and reminiscing about the day’s adventures in the lodge’s lounge. With access to a bar, entertainment set and shuffleboard table, it is a relaxing and comfortable setting to unwind and visit with other guests. The lodge is located within easy walking distance of the local grocery store and bar.
